Fibertransceivermodul PLANET MGB-TLB20

The PLANET MGB-TLB20 is a fiber optic SFP transceiver module designed for 1000BASE applications. Compliant with the SFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) and hot-pluggable, this module delivers duplex data link over single-mode optical fiber with a maximum data transfer rate of 1000 Mbit/s and an operating wavelength of 1550 nm. It is compatible with SFP MSA ports and can be used in PLANET switches and other equipment that accept SFP mini-GBIC modules, supporting long-distance links up to the single-mode range.

Advantages

The MGB-TLB20 provides a compact SFP form factor that allows on-the-fly installation without interrupting host equipment operation. Built to meet industrial Ethernet fiber requirements, this module supports long-distance single-mode transmission and is suitable for environments that require reliable performance over extended reaches. Compliance with SFP MSA ensures broad interoperability with network devices that accept SFP modules.

Suitable for

• Long-distance Gigabit Ethernet links over single-mode fiber
• Installation in PLANET switches with SFP mini-GBIC interface
• Upgrading network uplinks and fiber backbone connections

Key specifications

• Brand: PLANET
• Model / MPN: MGB-TLB20
• Form factor: SFP (Small Form Factor Pluggable)
• Data rate: 1000 Mbit/s (Gigabit Ethernet)
• Wavelength: 1550 nm
• Fiber type: Single-mode fiber (SMF)

How to use

Insert the MGB-TLB20 into a compatible SFP port on a switch, router or transceiver slot while the host device is powered on or off; the module is hot-pluggable. Connect the single-mode fiber cable (LC connector) to the module’s optical port, ensuring proper polarity and secure connections. Configure link settings on connected network devices (such as speed and duplex if required) and verify link status through the host device management interface.

Recommendations

Use quality single-mode fiber and LC connectors for reliable long-distance transmission. Verify compatibility with the host device SFP MSA requirements and check firmware or vendor notes for any necessary module compatibility lists before deployment.
