Fiberoptisk LC duplex-adapter multimode OM2 fyrkantig ACT EA9002

The ACT Fiber optic LC duplex adapter multimode OM2 square EA9002 is a compact coupling device engineered for reliable multimode fiber connections. It provides a square-form, panel-mount compatible housing that aligns LC duplex connectors with precision ferrule guidance to maintain signal integrity for OM2 multimode networks. The adapter supports straightforward insertion and removal of LC duplex plugs and is suitable for dense patch panels, wall plates, and equipment panels where stable, repeatable fiber mating is required.

Advantages

This LC duplex adapter delivers consistent optical alignment and low insertion loss for OM2 multimode fiber links. The square form factor offers space-efficient mounting and simple snap-in or screw fixing into standard modules and panels. Constructed from durable materials, the adapter resists mechanical wear and preserves connector endface alignment over repeated mating cycles. Its design reduces connector stress and helps maintain network performance in high-density installations.

Suitable for

• Multimode OM2 patching between switches, transceivers and distribution panels
• High-density rack and patch panel installations in data centres
• Telecommunications rooms and structured cabling backbones
• Equipment and wall-plate terminations requiring LC duplex connections

Key specifications

• Connector type: LC duplex (female coupling)
• Fiber type compatibility: Multimode OM2
• Form factor: Square housing suitable for panel mounting
• Typical insertion loss: low (designed for minimized loss in multimode links)
• Durability: rated for multiple mating cycles with stable alignment
• Material: robust polymer/plastic housing with precision internal sleeve

How to use

Install the adapter into a compatible panel opening or module by aligning the square housing and securing it according to the panel design (snap-in or screw). Insert LC duplex connectors from the patch cords into each adapter port until they click into place, ensuring correct polarization for transmit and receive channels. For removal, depress the connector latch and withdraw the plug straight out to avoid undue lateral force. Keep connector endfaces clean and capped when not in use to prevent contamination and signal degradation.

Recommendations

Use appropriate fiber cleaning tools to remove dust and debris from connector endfaces before mating. Verify OM2 multimode compatibility across the link and test insertion loss after installation to confirm performance. Avoid excessive bending or strain on connected fiber cables near the adapter to maintain optical performance over time.
