Fiberoptisk kabel Helos 10m OS2 LC/SC

The Helos 10m OS2 LC/SC fibre optic cable is a single-mode, full-duplex patch cable designed for long-distance, high-speed data transmission. With a 9 µm core diameter and OS2 specification, it supports low attenuation and stable signal integrity over extended runs. The cable is fitted with an LC connector on one end and an SC connector on the other, enabling compatibility with a wide range of networking and telecommunications equipment. Its 10-meter length provides flexibility for server rooms, telecom racks, and inter-room connections where optical performance and minimal signal loss are required.

Advantages

The cable combines single-mode OS2 fiber characteristics with precision-terminated LC and SC connectors to deliver low insertion loss and consistent optical performance. Its full-duplex configuration supports simultaneous bi-directional communication. The 9 µm core diameter is standard for single-mode networks, ensuring compatibility with common transceivers and long-span links. Robust connector housings and polished endfaces reduce back-reflection and contribute to reliable connections in professional environments.

Suitable for

• Long-distance backbone links in buildings and campuses
• Interconnection between optical transceivers and network equipment
• Telecommunication distribution frames and patch panels
• Data center connections requiring low-loss single-mode patching

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Single-mode, OS2
• Core diameter: 9 µm
• Length: 10 m
• Connector A: LC (male)
• Connector B: SC (male)
• Mode: Full duplex
• Typical use: Long-distance, low-attenuation links

How to use

Inspect both connectors and equipment ports for dust or debris before making a connection; use appropriate fiber cleaning tools if necessary. Align the LC and SC connectors with the corresponding ports and insert until a light click or positive stop is felt. Route the cable without tight bends and avoid sharp kinks; maintain bend radii recommended for single-mode fiber to prevent increased attenuation. For testing and verification, use an optical power meter or visual fault locator to confirm signal continuity and acceptable loss levels after installation.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable in a clean environment. Avoid exposing the fibre to tensile loads beyond manufacturer-rated limits and protect connector endfaces with dust caps when not connected. For critical installations, perform end-to-end loss testing and document results for future maintenance.
