Fiberoptisk duplexkabel SC/SC InLine 83502O 50/125µm OM3 2 m

The InLine Fiber Optical Duplex Cable SC/SC 50/125µm OM3 2m is a multimode fiber patch cable designed for reliable high-speed data transmission in structured networks. With SC connectors on both ends and a 50/125 µm core/cladding dimension, the cable supports duplex communication and is specified to OM3 performance, providing reduced modal dispersion for improved bandwidth in short- to medium-distance links. The 2 meter length offers flexibility for connecting equipment within racks, between switches and patch panels, or between active devices in office and data center environments.

Advantages

The cable delivers stable multimode OM3 performance suitable for 10 Gbps and higher aggregated links over short distances while maintaining low insertion loss and return loss typical for factory-assembled SC/SC fiber patch cords. Its duplex construction ensures simultaneous transmit and receive channels in a single compact assembly. The standardized SC connectors provide secure push-pull coupling and easy handling during installation or reconfiguration.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Interconnecting switches, servers and patch panels in data centers
• Fiber patching in server rooms, telecommunications cabinets and wiring closets
• Short-range multimode links for 10 Gbps Ethernet and storage area networks
• Upgrading or extending existing OM3 multimode fiber installations

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Multimode, 50/125 µm
• Performance class: OM3
• Connector type: SC to SC, duplex
• Length: 2 m
• Polishing: Factory polish for low insertion loss (UPC or PC depending on variant)
• Cable jacket: Flexible multimode patch cord sheath suitable for indoor use
• Colors: Typically aqua for OM3 multimode fiber (may vary by manufacturer)

How to use

Route the fiber cable between the two equipment ports ensuring bend radius limits are respected and connectors remain clean. Align and insert each SC connector into the corresponding SC adapter or port until it latches; the duplex assembly keeps transmit and receive channels paired—confirm correct orientation before powering equipment. Avoid sharp bends, kinks and excessive pulling force during installation. For moves or changes, disconnect by depressing the SC connector latch and gently withdrawing the connector.

Recommendations

Inspect and clean fiber endfaces with appropriate fiber cleaning tools before connection. Maintain minimum bend radius as specified for multimode fiber; avoid routing near sources of mechanical stress or strong electromagnetic interference. Choose OM3 multimode cabling for short- to medium-range high-speed links and verify link budgets when planning longer runs.
