Fiberoptisk adapterkabel DELOCK 91028 multimode, 2 m, svart/grå

The Delock HFBR 4506-4516Z fibre optic cable is a 2 m multi-mode plastic optical fibre (POF) cable with HFBR duplex male connectors on each end. It connects compatible Avago/Broadcom Versatile Link devices and is intended for short-range, interference-resistant signal transmission in data and networking installations. The cable is supplied in black and grey and includes dust protection caps to keep the connectors clean when not in use.

Advantages

The cable uses a 1 mm core plastic fibre for flexible handling and simple installation. Duplex HFBR connectors on both ends and included dust caps provide reliable, low-interference connections for compatible transmitters and receivers. Its 2 m length is suitable for patching and short interconnections while maintaining a compact, easy-to-route profile.

Suitable for

When it may not be suitable

This POF cable is intended for short-range, multi-mode applications; it is not suitable for long-distance or single-mode optical fibre links where glass fibre is required. It is designed for devices that accept HFBR-style duplex connectors and may not be compatible with equipment that uses different connector types.

Key specifications

How to use

Remove the dust caps from the HFBR connectors, align the duplex male HFBR plugs with the corresponding HFBR ports on the compatible transmitter and receiver, and insert until seated. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical strain, ensuring the 1 mm POF core is not kinked. Replace dust caps when the cable is disconnected to protect connector end faces from contamination.

What to consider before purchase

Recommendations

For reliable operation, avoid tight bends (maintain gentle curves), secure the cable to prevent strain on the connectors, and keep dust caps on unused ends. Use this POF jumper for short-distance interconnections between Versatile Link compatible devices and routine patching in racks or test setups.
