Fiberkontakt Lanview LVO-SC-CON-OM3, SC multimode OM3

Lanview LVO-SC-CON-OM3 is an SC-style fibre optic connector engineered for multimode OM3 fibre. It provides a standard SC duplex footprint and ensures accurate ferrule alignment to deliver low-loss connections for short-range high-speed links in data centres, enterprise networks, patch panels and fibre links. The housing is made of hard plastic and the connector is colour-coded aqua to match OM3 multimode cabling.

Advantages

The SC multimode OM3 connector offers a standard mechanical interface for easy installation and interchangeability, with a durable hard plastic housing that resists wear. Colour-coding simplifies identification of OM3 links, while the SC duplex form factor supports reliable duplex connections and straightforward mating with SC adapters and modules.

Suitable for

• Data centre short-range multimode links
• Enterprise network patch panels and horizontal cabling
• Optical fibre patch cords and pre-terminated assemblies
• Connections to SC duplex adapters and modules

How to use

Terminate the multimode OM3 fibre or use the connector on pre-terminated patch cords by aligning the SC ferrule with the mating adapter or receptacle and pressing until it clicks into place. For duplex connections, ensure the correct orientation of the duplex clip and mate both fibres. Inspect ferrules and clean end faces with appropriate fibre cleaning tools before connecting to minimise insertion loss and back reflection.

Recommendations

Use with OM3 multimode fibres and SC duplex adapters in controlled environments such as data centres and equipment rooms. Regularly inspect and clean connector end faces and avoid bending fibres sharply near the connector to maintain optical performance.
