Fiberkabel Helos 7,5 m OS2 SC/ST

The Helos 7.5m OS2 SC/ST fibre optic cable provides a 7.5 metre connection with SC and ST connectors and OS2 single-mode fibre with a 9 µm core diameter. Designed for full duplex communication, this cable is intended for reliable high-speed data transmission between network devices in data centres, telecom racks and other structured cabling environments where single-mode performance is required.

Advantages

The cable offers single-mode OS2 performance optimized for long-distance, low-attenuation links and stable optical characteristics. SC and ST connectors deliver compatibility with a wide range of equipment and patch panels, while the 7.5 m length balances reach and manageability for rack-to-rack or equipment-to-patch-panel runs. The 9 µm core ensures predictable modal behaviour for single-mode applications and supports full duplex transmission for simultaneous bidirectional data flow.

Key specifications

• Length: 7.5 m
• Fibre type: OS2 single-mode
• Core diameter: 9 µm
• Connector types: SC to ST
• Transmission mode: Full duplex
• Typical use: Data centre and structured cabling

How to use

Route the fibre cable along designated cable trays or inside conduits, avoiding sharp bends and excessive tensile stress. Clean connector end-faces with appropriate fibre-cleaning tools before insertion to ensure low loss and reliable connections. Insert the SC and ST connectors into the corresponding ports until they are secured; SC uses a push-pull latch while ST typically requires a quarter-turn bayonet connection. Verify link status and optical power levels with test equipment after installation.
