Fiberkabel EFB Elektronik O7413FT.50

The EFB Elektronik O7413FT.50 is a 50 m OM3 fibre optic cable with SC connectors on both ends. It features a flat twin duplex jumper design with an additional outer jacket made of LSZH, which increases mechanical stability while maintaining compatibility with standard SC connections. The cable's aqua colour and 50 µm core diameter make it suitable for high-speed data transmission in structured cabling and short-range backbone links.

Advantages

The added outer jacket provides higher stability and better protection against mechanical stress compared with standard jumpers. LSZH jacket material reduces smoke and toxic gas emission in case of fire. Full duplex SC–SC configuration ensures simultaneous bidirectional data transfer and straightforward plug-and-play installation.

Suitable for

• Short-range OM3 links in data centres and server rooms
• Patch panels and network racks with SC connectors
• High-speed duplex connections between switches and transceivers

How to use

Connect each SC connector to the corresponding SC port on devices or patch panels, ensuring proper orientation and cleanliness of connector end-faces. Route the flat jumper along cable management channels to avoid sharp bends; maintain the manufacturer's recommended minimum bend radius for OM3 fibres. Verify link status after connection and perform optical testing if required.

Recommendations

Handle the LSZH-jacketed flat twin duplex jumper carefully to avoid excessive tension or tight bends. Keep connectors capped when not in use and clean end-faces before mating to maintain signal integrity.
