Fiberkabel BlueOptics AV2A-BO 30 m MPO OM4

The BlueOptics AV2A-BO 30 m MPO OM4 is a 30‑metre multimode fibre optic patch cable with MPO connectors on both ends, designed for high‑speed data transmission in data centres and professional network environments. The OM4 fibre type is laser‑optimized for improved modal bandwidth and supports 40 Gigabit and 100 Gigabit Ethernet links over short to medium distances. The cable features LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) outer sheathing and is compatible with AV2A/MPO‑MPO connectivity requirements.

Advantages

This OM4 MPO‑MPO cable provides low insertion loss and high return loss for stable optical links and reduced signal degradation. The LSZH jacket reduces halogen emission and smoke in the event of fire, meeting common safety requirements for indoor installations. BlueOptics AV2A‑BO cables are manufactured with high‑quality multimode fibre and ceramic ferrules to deliver consistent performance and longevity suitable for demanding networking environments.

How to use

Install the MPO connectors into matching MPO ports on patch panels, transceivers or trunk modules, ensuring correct keying and orientation. Route the cable avoiding excessive bending and mechanical stress; observe the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius for multimode fibre. Verify connections and performance with appropriate test equipment such as optical power meters or OTDR where required, and consult the receiving equipment documentation for any link configuration or polarity requirements.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, store and handle the cable by the jacket and avoid touching connector endfaces; use dust caps during transport and clean connector endfaces with approved fibre cleaning tools before mating. When deploying in rack or tray systems, secure the cable to prevent strain and maintain recommended bend radii to preserve optical performance.
