Enhetsfront Icy Dock MB604SPO-B svart

The ToughArmor MB604SPO-B is a 5.25" drive bay panel that combines four hot-swappable 2.5" SATA/SAS drive bays (supporting drives 5mm–9.5mm high) with one Slim/Ultra‑Slim optical disk drive bay (supports 12.7mm Slim or 9.5mm Ultra‑Slim ODD). Built with full-metal construction and designed for industrial and commercial applications, this unit fits into space-constrained systems such as rackmount PCs, mobile workstations, in-vehicle and airborne systems, servers, and medical or military equipment. The enclosure includes a user-configurable 40mm cooling fan, ventilation holes, removable anti-vibration trays, individual drive status LEDs and a dust cover for the optical bay.

Advantages

The MB604SPO-B maximizes space-efficiency by combining four 2.5" drive bays and one Slim/Ultra‑Slim optical bay in a single 5.25" slot. Its rugged full-metal build and anti-vibration trays protect drives in harsh environments while individual LEDs and a locking latch design on SATA power/data connectors ensure reliable operation and easy status monitoring. The configurable 40mm fan and ample ventilation help maintain optimal drive temperatures for both HDD and SSD use. The included dust cover and tool-less optical drive removal simplify maintenance.

Suitable for

• Rackmount industrial PCs and servers
• Mobile and portable workstations (including military and field units)
• In-vehicle, airborne, and shipboard computer systems
• Medical and factory automation systems
• Systems requiring a combination of multiple 2.5" drives and an optical drive in one 5.25" bay

How to use

Install the MB604SPO-B into a standard 5.25" external bay and secure it according to your chassis instructions. Insert each 2.5" HDD or SSD into the removable tray and slide the tray into the corresponding bay until it locks; trays include anti-vibration features and individual status LEDs. Mount a Slim 12.7mm or Ultra‑Slim 9.5mm optical drive into the adjustable optical bracket, secure the built-in screw, or use the included foam spacer for a 9.5mm drive. Connect SATA power and data cables with the locking latches to ensure stable connections. Configure the 40mm fan to high, low, or off depending on drive type and system cooling needs.

Recommendations

Use high fan speed for mechanical HDD arrays under heavy I/O to reduce operating temperatures; set the fan to low or off when using only SSDs in systems with sufficient chassis cooling. Remove the dust cover when installing an optical drive and replace it when the bay is unused to minimize dust ingress. Ensure SATA/SAS cable latches are fully engaged to avoid accidental disconnection in mobile or vibration-prone environments.
