Enhetsfackpanel Icy Dock MB153SP-B svart

The Icy Dock MB153SP-B is a 3-in-2 RAID backplane drive bay panel in black, designed to fit three 3.5" SATA I/II/III (6 Gbit/s) hard drives into two 5.25" device bays. Constructed from metal and plastic, the unit measures 200.4 mm (W) x 146.4 mm (D) x 85.8 mm (H) and weighs 0.912 kg. It supports SATA hot-swap functionality and offers active power control and drive status LEDs for convenient drive management.

Advantages

The MB153SP-B combines a compact space-saving design with a full-metal body and an 80 mm cooling fan to provide improved heat dissipation for intensive workloads. Its interchangeable EZ-Tray system and removable rear fan simplify drive exchange and maintenance. Enhanced direct airflow design and the use of SATA 15 power ports increase compatibility with modern power supplies, while Active Power Technology powers LEDs and fans only when a drive is present.

Suitable for

• Small form factor PCs and workstations that require multiple 3.5" HDDs in limited 5.25" bay space
• Systems needing hot-swap capability for drive replacement or RAID configurations
• Environments where improved cooling and easy maintenance are important (server bench, home NAS, backup rigs)

How to use

Install the MB153SP-B into two adjacent 5.25" drive bays of your desktop chassis, connect SATA data cables to each drive and the motherboard, and attach SATA 15-pin power from the power supply. Slide drives into the EZ-Trays and insert them into the backplane until they engage the connectors. Configure RAID or storage settings in your operating system or RAID controller as required. The unit supports hot-swap operations, so drives can be inserted or removed while the system is powered if your controller and OS support it.

Recommendations

For optimal thermal performance, ensure the 80 mm fan has unobstructed airflow and consider adding chassis ventilation when populating all three drives. Use compatible SATA 15-pin power connectors and verify hot-swap support in your system before performing live drive changes.
