DVI-D till HDMI-adapter ACT AB3766

The ACT AB3766 DVI-D to HDMI A male adapter enables a direct connection between DVI-D sources and HDMI displays. It is finished in a durable silver colour and designed to transmit high-definition video and audio when used with compatible devices. The adapter is compact and intended for connecting computers, laptops and other DVI-D equipped equipment to HDMI-enabled monitors or TVs.

Advantages

This DVI-D to HDMI adapter provides a simple, passive conversion between a single-link DVI-D (18+1) female interface and an HDMI A male connector shifted sideways. Its compact form factor and silver finish offer a discreet, durable solution for temporary or permanent connections without requiring additional power. The adapter preserves digital video quality and, when supported by connected devices and cables, allows audio transmission over HDMI.

Suitable for

• Connecting a desktop PC or laptop with a DVI-D output to an HDMI monitor or TV
• Using older graphics cards with modern HDMI displays
• Temporary workstation setups or multimedia presentations

How to use

Insert the DVI-D (female) end over the DVI-D output of the source device or plug the adapter onto a DVI-D cable as appropriate, then connect the HDMI A male end into the HDMI input of the display. Ensure connectors are fully seated. If the source or display requires specific resolution or audio settings, configure them in the device display/audio settings. No external power is required for basic video conversion.

Recommendations

Use high-quality HDMI cables and verify that both source and display support the desired resolution and audio over HDMI. For audio transmission, confirm the DVI-D source provides audio passthrough when paired with the adapter; otherwise a separate audio connection may be necessary.
