DIGITUS professionell fiberoptisk multimode-patchkabel, LC / LC 5 m

Future-oriented standards and high-end quality for your network. FO patch cord, duplex, LC to LC, multimode OM5 50/125 µm, length 5 m provides reliable fiber connections for data transmission in modern LAN and infrastructure environments. The duplex LC to LC configuration ensures compact, high-density connectivity for multimode fiber links.

Advantages

The OM5 multimode fiber supports enhanced wavelength division multiplexing and is backward compatible with OM4/OM3, enabling flexible upgrade paths. Duplex LC connectors offer small form-factor terminations that save space in patch panels and switches. A 5 m cable length covers typical rack-to-rack and equipment-to-equipment connections while maintaining signal integrity with standardized 50/125 µm core/cladding dimensions.

Key specifications

• Connector type: LC to LC duplex
• Fiber type: Multimode OM5
• Core/cladding: 50/125 µm
• Length: 5 m

How to use

Route the patch cord between LC ports on compatible transceivers, patch panels, or network devices, taking care to maintain bend radius and avoid sharp kinks. Ensure connectors are clean before insertion and follow standard fiber handling procedures to prevent contamination or damage. Verify link operation after installation using appropriate testing equipment.

Recommendations

Store the cable coiled without tight bends and keep dust caps on connectors when not in use. For optimal performance in high-speed or long-distance multimode links, use compatible OM5-rated transceivers and follow vendor guidelines for multimode wavelength multiplexing.
