Dam skidsockor Ortovox Freeride Long

For female freeriders charging through deep powder and variable backcountry terrain, the Ortovox Freeride Long ski socks deliver the warmth, cushioning, and precise fit needed for long days on the mountain. Crafted with 64% OWP-MERINO virgin wool, these over-the-calf socks naturally regulate temperature, wick moisture, and resist odor, keeping feet dry and comfortable from first lift to last run. The medium cushioning and targeted padding on shin, heel, and toe absorb impact and reduce pressure points inside stiff freeride boots, while the ergonomic left/right construction and ankle stabilization zone provide a secure, slip-free fit. Flat toe seams prevent chafing, and breathable mesh zones enhance ventilation when the pace picks up. Available in Pacific Green, size S (EU 35-38 / UK 2.5-5 / US 4-6.5), these socks are a sustainable choice backed by the Ortovox Wool Promise.

Why choose it

Merino wool is the gold standard for ski socks, and Ortovox's OWP-MERINO is ethically sourced and traceable. The blend with polyamide and elastane ensures durability and stretch, so the socks hold their shape and stay in place all day. The medium cushioning strikes a balance between warmth and boot fit, while the anatomical design reduces fatigue and improves control. Whether you're hiking a bootpack or ripping down a couloir, these socks keep your feet happy.

Ideal use cases

• Freeride skiing in deep snow and variable conditions
• Snowboarding with stiff boots requiring precise fit
• Backcountry touring where temperature regulation is key
• Cold-weather resort skiing for women seeking warmth without bulk

Good to know

Ortovox recommends washing these socks inside out at 30°C with a mild detergent, and avoiding fabric softener to preserve the wool's natural properties. The Pacific Green colorway adds a subtle pop to your ski kit. Pair with Ortovox Freeride base layers for complete comfort in the mountains.
