Borrhammare Makita HR005GM202

The Makita HR005GM202 rotary hammer is a cordless SDS Max tool designed for heavy-duty drilling in concrete and masonry. Powered by a 36V Lithium‑Ion battery and equipped with a high‑speed motor that reaches up to 2900 RPM, this unit balances drilling performance with portability. Its compact body—115 mm in width and 500 mm in depth—combined with a weight of 8.2 kg provides a stable feel for sustained work on demanding job sites.

Advantages

The HR005GM202 uses an SDS Max chuck system for secure bit retention and fast bit changes. The 36V battery platform delivers cordless freedom while maintaining high torque and rotational speed suitable for concrete drilling up to 4 cm. The tool’s compact width aids access in tighter spaces, and the overall design aims to reduce user fatigue during extended operation. Its black finish provides a practical, professional appearance that resists visible wear.

Suitable for

• Drilling holes in concrete and masonry up to 4 cm diameter
• Heavy‑duty construction and renovation tasks where a cordless rotary hammer is required
• Worksites with limited access where a compact rotary hammer is beneficial

Key specifications

• Power source: 36V Lithium‑Ion battery
• Maximum motor speed: 2900 RPM
• Chuck type: SDS Max
• Maximum recommended concrete drill diameter: 4 cm
• Weight: 8.2 kg
• Product width: 115 mm
• Product depth: 500 mm
• Color: Black

How to use

Before operation, ensure the 36V battery is fully charged and inserted according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Select an SDS Max bit suitable for concrete drilling and secure it in the chuck until it locks. Choose the appropriate speed setting if the tool provides variable speed; start drilling at low speed to establish the hole, then increase to the working speed as required. Apply steady axial pressure without forcing the tool; let the hammer action and motor speed perform the work. After completing the hole, release the trigger and wait for the tool to stop before removing the bit or battery.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as eye and hearing protection, gloves, and dust extraction or masks when drilling into concrete. For extended drilling sessions, allow the motor and battery cooling intervals as specified by the battery and tool manufacturer to maintain consistent performance and prolong service life.
