Ångstrykjärn Mesko Home MS 5031

The Mesko Home MS 5031 is a multifunctional steam iron designed for home use. It combines a ceramic soleplate and a 2400 W motor to provide smooth gliding over fabrics and efficient wrinkle removal. The iron features a 0.4 L water tank, a pointed soleplate tip for reaching around buttons and pleats, and a 1.5 m power cord for convenient handling.

Advantages

The iron offers five operating modes: continuous steam ironing at 45 g/min, steam ironing with a steam boost up to 80 g/min for stubborn creases, dry ironing without steam, vertical steaming for garments and curtains, and a spray function delivering a single 0.5 g water burst. It includes four safety and maintenance systems: automatic shut-off (after 8 minutes in vertical position and after 30 seconds in horizontal position with a five-beep alert), Anti-Drip to prevent water droplets when the soleplate is not hot enough, Anti-Calc to limit mineral deposits, and Self-Cleaning. A ceramic soleplate improves slip for easier ironing and the larger water tank reduces the need for frequent refills.

Suitable for

• Everyday ironing of shirts, trousers and dresses
• Refreshing hanging garments and curtains with vertical steam
• Targeted ironing around buttons, pleats and seams
• Ironing delicate fabrics with dry or low-steam settings

How to use

Fill the 0.4 L water tank before use, select the desired temperature and steam mode suitable for the fabric type, and allow the soleplate to reach operating temperature. For standard creases, use continuous steam; for stubborn wrinkles use the steam boost. Use the vertical steam mode to refresh hanging garments and curtains. Activate the spray for localized dampening when needed. After finishing, switch off the iron and empty the water tank if recommended by the manufacturer.

Recommendations

Use distilled or demineralized water if your tap water is hard to reduce scale buildup and extend the effectiveness of the Anti-Calc system. Allow the soleplate to heat fully before steam ironing to avoid dripping; follow fabric care labels for proper temperature settings.
