Analog/DECT-telefon Gigaset E720A

The Gigaset E720A is an analog/DECT cordless telephone with a 5.59 cm (2.2") colour display, built-in answering machine and support for up to six handsets. It combines caller ID, a 200-entry phonebook and SMS capability with accessibility features designed for seniors and users with hearing impairments. The handset supports Bluetooth 4.2 for direct connection to compatible hearing aids and offers configurable call protection including green display for trusted callers, whitelist and emergency direct-dial functions (PIN-protected).

Advantages

The Gigaset E720A provides advanced call protection and an easily recognizable green illumination for saved contacts, a Bluetooth connection to hearing aids for hands-free and clear voice transmission, and a Boost key that temporarily doubles speaker volume during calls. It includes a large high-contrast display with magnification, talking dial keys and spoken caller ID, and an integrated answering machine with up to 30 minutes recording time. ECO DECT reduces transmission power and disables radiation in standby when supported by base and handsets.

How to use

Save trusted contacts in the handset directory and activate the “Serious callers” / whitelist option in Accessibility to enable green-display recognition or restrict incoming calls to familiar numbers. Pair a compatible hearing aid via Bluetooth 4.2 using the handset’s Bluetooth menu and keep the handset close to the user for optimal microphone performance. Assign important numbers to the direct-dial keys and configure the SOS sequence on key A with up to four emergency contacts; the handset will call the listed numbers in succession and repeat up to three times until answered. Use the Boost key during a call to temporarily increase speaker volume and enable talking dial keys or spoken caller ID in the settings to have numbers and names announced.

Recommendations

For best audio quality with hearing aids, confirm your hearing aid supports Bluetooth 4.2 with HSP/HFP and test pairing in the location where you will use the handset most. Keep the handset within close range of the user during calls for optimal microphone pickup, and consider registering additional handsets around the home to ensure the phone is always within reach.
