Adapterplatta ACT FA2152 — 6×LC Quad, 24-fiber OM4 patchpanel-adapter

ACT FA2152 adapter plate provides six LC Quad adapter positions supporting a total of 24 fibers with OM4 multimode specification. The plate is designed for installation in standard patch panels or chassis and enables high-density fibre connections in data centre and enterprise network environments. It supports both connectorised trunk terminations and splicing, allowing flexible deployment of multimode links while maintaining organized cable routing and reliable optical performance.

Advantages

The adapter plate consolidates multiple LC Quad connections in a compact module, reducing front-panel space while preserving access to individual duplex connections. Using OM4 multimode adapters ensures improved modal bandwidth for short-reach applications and compatibility with common multimode transceivers. The design facilitates neat fiber management, minimizes insertion loss with precision-aligned adapters, and simplifies field installation by fitting into existing patch panels or chassis.

How to use

Install the adapter plate into the matching cutout of a compatible patch panel or chassis following the panel manufacturer's mounting instructions. Terminate incoming multimode trunks using LC quad connectors or route pigtails for splicing to the adapter ports. Ensure correct cable bend radius and secure fiber management straps to prevent stress on the adapters. After termination, verify continuity and link performance with appropriate optical test equipment to confirm insertion loss and return loss meet system requirements.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use OM4-rated multimode patch cords and transceivers matched to the intended link length and data rate. Maintain proper fiber bending radius, keep adapters and connectors clean, and perform end-to-end optical testing after installation. When mixing spliced and connectorised terminations, label each port clearly and document the connections to simplify future maintenance and troubleshooting.
