Place cameras indoors at chest-to-head height aimed at the areas you want to monitor. For best motion detection and image detail, avoid pointing the lens directly at bright windows or strong backlighting. Enable activity zones to reduce false alerts and consider the Arlo Secure plan if you need cloud history or theft replacement coverage.
